Bonnie Ewing

Bonnie was the Director of the Nez Perce Head Start Program. She also ran a family owned business and private contracting firm. Now retired, Bonnie and her husband have also raised and bred Appaloosa Horses.

 

Michael Fredrickson
CEO and Board Member of Chief Joseph Foundation

Mike is an experienced horseman and CEO of NW Insurance Services. Mike also owns and manages a dry land farm and a logging company. Currently he is a board member of Appaloosa Museum & Heritage Center, President Elect of Cayuse Kids Riding Club and President Latah County Mounted Sheriffs Posse, Search & Rescue.

 

Donna Henry
Board Member

Donna works in Behavioral Health at the Nimiipuu Health Clinic in Lapwai, Idaho. Prior to her work at the health clinic, she worked at The Bureau of Indian Affairs. Donna has also served as a member of the Chief Joseph & Warriors Memorial Committee and the Women’s Auxiliary Post.

 

Doug Marsh
Secretary, Executive Officer and Board Member
of Chief Joseph Foundation

As a business owner in the Lewiston and Orofino area, Doug has served on many boards and commissions. He has been involved with the Chief Joseph Foundation for twenty years.

 

Allen Vernon Pinkham Sr.
Co-Founder and Board Member of Chief Joseph Foundation

He is a member of the Nez Perce Tribe as well as a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. After his military service he earned a degree from Lower Columbia College in Longview Washington. He now runs a family ranch on the Nez Perce Indian Reservation. Allen has served on the Nez Perce Tribal Executive Committee as a Liaison between the Forest Service and the Nez Perce Tribe. He is also a historian, storyteller and author. Allen has co-authored the following books: Lewis and Clark Among the Nez Perce: Strangers in the Land of the Nimiipuu and Salmon and His People. He was also a contributing writer to Lewis and Clark Through Indian Eyes, edited by Alvin Josephy. Allen has served on the National Lewis and Clark Bicentennial Committee Council and on the Board of Trustees for the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington DC.

 

Russell Spencer
Board Member

Russell is a retired police officer from the Lapwai area. He was a member of the Lapwai City Council and has served on numerous boards. Russell has supervised and coordinated all Idaho special Olympic equestrian activities for the CJF.
